CASE STUDY / COMPANY WEBSITE · G-EPOXY

Industrial floors,
industrial speed.

G-Epoxy installs industrial and commercial resin floors, waterproofing and the masonry work that goes with them, around Győr, in the Hungarian-speaking towns of southern Slovakia and at Lake Balaton. Their old website advertised decorative living-room floors, which they do not offer. The new site shows what they actually do: with a striking visual, and still a mobile PageSpeed of 97.

01 / STARTING POINT

A good contractor.
The wrong shop window.

The old site was built from a purchased
template, and it did not show
what the company actually does.

01

It advertised other work.

The old homepage featured 3D floor coatings, microcement-look surfaces and living rooms. G-Epoxy, on the other hand, builds floors for factories, warehouses, commercial kitchens and underground car parks. The industrial client the company actually works for could not find themselves on the site.

02

It only talked about Győr.

The company regularly works in the Hungarian-speaking towns of southern Slovakia and around Lake Balaton, yet neither region appeared on the old site. Someone searching for a resin floor in Komárno or Siófok could not be shown G-Epoxy by Google.

03

Placeholder text, live.

One reference page still carried the template's “lorem ipsum” filler, and the reviews section showed the same English sample review six times. A plant's technical manager does not see a reliable contractor in that.

04

No help in choosing.

A meat plant needs a different floor from a warehouse or a car workshop. The old site did not explain which system suits which place, or what is worth mentioning in a quote request.

02 / THE NEW SITE

See what goes
under the floor.

The value of an industrial floor lies in its layers,
which are invisible once it is finished.
The new site makes them visible.

01

System selector.

The visitor picks the place, for example the food industry, a warehouse, a workshop or an underground car park. The site opens up the layers of the matching floor and shows its thickness, slip resistance and load capacity. One click requests a quote for the chosen system.

02

Three regions, each with its own page.

Győr and its surroundings, southern Slovakia and Lake Balaton each got their own page with the typical towns and distances. The Slovakia page includes a summary in Slovak. A map shows, for 34 towns, how far they are from the company's base in Bágyogszovát.

03

Before and after, on real jobs.

Renovations compared with a slider, one job followed step by step from grinding to the top coat, and a filterable reference gallery. There is no placeholder text and no invented review on the site.

04

A quote request in two minutes.

The form asks about what really drives the price: the floor area, the town and how the floor is used. The request lands in the company's inbox straight away, and the reply goes back to the client with a single click.

03 / THE MEASUREMENT

Striking.
And still fast.

The moving, reflective hero is rendered in real time on the visitor's graphics card. At the first live measurement that had a price: 59 points on mobile. The same day, keeping the visual, it became 97.

The starting score of 59 was measured by the client with Google PageSpeed Insights; the 1370 ms stutter was measured the same day with a Lighthouse mobile test. The final values come from the PageSpeed Insights test shown above.

04 / WHAT MADE IT FAST

Nothing taken away.
Smarter loading.

The speed-up did not mean dropping the visual:
the site shows the same thing,
it just works in a better order.

01

The visual is prepared in the background.

The browser prepares the program for the reflective floor in the background, so the menu and buttons already respond in the meantime. This removed the biggest stutter during loading.

02

It only runs where it can.

If a device cannot draw the moving floor on its graphics card, it gets a light, static version. That way the site does not stall on an older machine either.

03

A font six times lighter.

Only the Hungarian and Slovak accented letters were kept in the font file. It is 15 KB instead of 86 KB, so the text appears sooner.

04

What is not visible can wait.

The browser only draws the sections further down when the visitor scrolls to them. The first screen does not wait for the whole page.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What might come up
about the project.

Doesn't the moving hero slow the site down?

Built badly, it does: the first measurement gave 59 points. A fast site did not require giving it up, only changing the order of loading. The visual is prepared in the background and only starts on devices that can handle it. That is how the mobile score became 97.

What does it cost to keep a site like this running?

The G-Epoxy site consists of ready-made pages, with no database and no plugins, so it runs on free hosting with no monthly hosting fee. There is nothing to update and no admin panel to break into.

Why did each of the three regions get its own page?

Because that is how people search: “resin floor Komárom” or “industrial floor Balaton”. If a region does not appear on the site, Google cannot show the company to the people searching there. The regional pages answer those searches.

Can you test my site too?

Yes. Request the free speed check through the contact form: we measure where your site stands on mobile right now. If you like, afterwards we can talk through what is worth fixing, and what it would cost.
